Author Guidelines

The submitted manuscripts shall be original and not published before in the same form in any other printed or electronic publications.

The article structure shall consist the following mandatory elements:

  1. Article title (shall be compact and reflect the essence of the problem).
  2. Initials and last names of all authors.
  3. Abstract (150 to 200 words).
  4. Keywords (5 to 10)
  5. Article Text (max. 30,000 characters).
  6. References (at least 20).
  7. Author info (full name, academic ranks, position, occupation, mail address and postal code, specialization, email).

Article title, abstract, keywords, and author info shall be provided in Russian and English; bibliographic reference in the article text in Russian shall be transliterated with Latin letters and translated into English.

In English text, the university shall be named as Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Keywords shall: (1) reflect the essence of the article, (2) not repeat the title or abstract, (3) contain terms used in the article text and terms defining the subject domain, and (4) include other significant terms to promote and facilitate indexing in search engines.

The abstract is a brief, yet informative content of scientific publications. Results shall be described clearly and comprehensively. With that, new and long-term-value data, significant discoveries, conclusions that overturn existing theories, and data considered practically valuable by the author, shall be emphasized. The annotation shall not repeat information given in the article title.

In the article the number of a reference is enclosed in square brackets and placed in line with the text; when quoting, the page number shall be specified (e.g. [3, p. 6]). The main text shall contain the theory and methodology which determine and substantiate the methods and techniques selected to solve the problem; demonstration of quantitative and qualitative data obtained during the implementation of these methods and techniques; synthesis of the results and incorporation thereof into the intellectual history of the subject. The article shall be clear both for specialists and non-specialist audiences interested in discussing the subject.

The text shall be prepared in MS Word; formatted for A4 with 1.5 spacing, font size: 12 pt. Pages shall be numbered.

All figures shall be compatible with MS Word. Any figure denotation shall be explained in the main text or figure caption. Captions and table headers are mandatory. As the journal is printed in black and white, using colored figures is not recommended.

In formulas, Greek and Cyrillic letters shall be typed upright, and Latin in italic. Only formulas referred to henceforth shall be numbered. Continuous formula number shall be applied.

After the article text, two identical numbered reference lists shall be given. One list — for Russian readers — shall be formatted in compliance with the actual GOST R 7.0.5–2008. Another list (References) — for foreign readers — shall be formatted in compliance with requirements of journals presented in the Scopus database. Numbering shall be the same for both lists. Both lists shall have the same in content but different in formatting.

To transliterate text automatically, it is allowed to use translit.ru portal — there, select Library of Congress mode.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere (otherwise, this shall be explained in Editor Comments).
  2. The file is formatted for OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Where possible, Internet links are provided as complete URLs.

  4. The text is typed with one-line spacing, font is Times New Roman, 12 pt; italic type is rather than underlining (except Internet links) is used for highlighting. All images, graphics and tables are in appropriate places within the text rather than at the end.
  5. The text follows the stylistic and bibliography requirements as per the Author Guidelines in the About Us section.

  6. If the submitted manuscript is to the reviewed, then all requirements pertaining to blind-peer review are met.
